OUR MISSION

Healthy living is not one size fits all.

The food you eat can literally change your life, and Intelligent Nutrition’s goal is to help people understand how to make their diets work best for them.

Intelligent Nutrition, was born from a passion to help people to overcome their health issues. Whether it’s weight loss, lack of energy or sleep, managing diabetes or inflammatory conditions such as arthritis and thyroid.

Our mission is to help our clients regain control of their own health through education and by taking a holistic approach to use nutrition as a way of creating sustainable, healthy patterns.

Meet Annette, founder of Intelligent Nutrition – A personal journey.

My path to become a nutritionist is an incredibly personal one. My father was a strong supporter of natural medicine, organic foods and active lifestyle. His lifestyle has played a key part in the decision to complete a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Nutritional Medicine as well as study in the US with best-selling author Peter J. D’Adamo (Eat Right For Your Type series of books).

My grandmother has had a long history with rheumatoid arthritis and, when my own health began to falter, I turned my attention to my own diet. I developed stiffness in my fingers and hands, and was advised to take a closer look at my own diet to find some relief.

I made major changes to the foods I was consuming and my health radically shifted as a result. Since then I have been inspired to provide the same service to others.

Natural medicine had always been a passion for me, and I decided to specialise in food and nutrition as a simple way to make the greatest impact. In a world where pesticides and herbicides, fungicides and pharmaceuticals plague our diets, I focus on organic and unprocessed foods as much as possible to help my clients to alleviate ailments.

A program tailored to suit you.

My approach to every client is curated, because every person is different.

I believe healthy living is not one size fits all — it is a very individualised process. I created my business Intelligent Nutrition to ensure my clients have the best dietary information for their body types.

One of the biggest challenges I face as a nutritionist is to dispel the myths around fad diets — whether it be keto, intermittent fasting, avoidance of major food groups or simply calorie counting — in order to restore the good health of her clients.

I work hard to discuss the many conflicting messages about health, particularly about diet and weight loss, to give people a clear path forward in order to feel better, have more energy, more sleep and more confidence.

Not everyone is geared for high-fat, low-carb diets such as keto; nor is intermittent fasting appropriate for those who need constant energy, such as diabetics.

My approach is to evaluate each person’s health and medical history, review their family’s history, discuss current diets and eating patterns and then provide a strategic solution that will ensure their long-term health improvement.

The end goal is for clients to take control of their life by understanding what foods work best for them.
